Eco Morazán is an agro-industrial company created in 2007 by a group of beekeepers and professionals. The mission is to process and sell the production of the shareholders, producers in Morazán. We want to break the traditional pattern of only selling the production as raw materials for others to refine.
Cooperative Agro-industry
Eco Morazán is a cooperative business where all shareholders have one vote. Our aim is that the shareholders shall have a fair profit of their production. In our team we have professionals in beekeeping, macadamia, food production and nutritional supplements.
Beekeeping
Our producers are working under organic standards and sustainable management of their plots, producing quality raw materials, with strict control of traceability.
We are established in the northern department of Morazán in El Salvador. It is a mountainous region of conifers and rivers with abundant vegetation used by the bees to harvest its nectar, pollen and propolis. Beekeeping is a sector that has received support so that the producers may be more professional, improve yields and meet the strict standards of good manufacturing practice.
Macadamia
Another sector that has received support for its establishment and development is the growing of macadamia nuts. We hope that the production of macadamia nuts begin in 2009. While waiting for our local production, nuts are imported nuts Guatemala.
Nutritional Supplements and Natural Cosmetics
The combination of beekeeping and macadamia allows us to develop a range of high quality products within the lines of nutritional supplements and natural cosmetics.
