Royal Jelly

Royal jelly is the food of the larvae of worker and drone to its third day and the queen throughout her life, giving it an extraordinary longevity and fertility that the worker bees lack. Royal jelly is secreted by a gland located at the head of the working bees to feed the larva, receiving for this reason the name of nurse bees. The nurse bees must consume much pollen, honey and water to produce the royal jelly through glands.
